Alliance News and Updates

The Alliance is pleased to welcome our new member library, CSU – Pueblo. The University Library at Colorado State University – Pueblo was the first building constructed on the University’s new campus in 1965. After spending many decades at the center of campus, it received a much needed complete renovation and expansion, opening its doors in April of 2011. The new Library and Academic Resources Center (LARC) provides the campus with an integrated student academic support center that includes the Library as well as IT support services, tutoring, career center, writing room, Honor’s program, TRIO programs, and more. The Library enjoys a strong partnership with CSU’s Morgan Library sharing one ILS as well as many online resources. Currently the CSU Libraries are migrating from Millennium to Alma, which will go live in December. CSU-Pueblo Library is home to the Colorado Chicano Movement Archives, which provided materials to History Colorado for its new El Movimiento exhibit and is in the process of working with the State Library to create a Colorado Chicano Movement research portal. Other new initiatives include partnering with the campus Center for Teaching and Learning to join the Open Textbook Network, working with the Honor’s program to host its new open access undergraduate research journal, adding new streaming video and audio, and joining with the Pueblo City-County Library District to become a mini branch library.
