Alliance News and Updates
The Auraria Library, Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries (Alliance), InfoBase (Films On Demand), and Swank Digital Campus are excited to announce their collaboration on the SILLVR (Streaming Interlibrary Loan Video Resources) pilot project. ILL for streaming video is one step in supporting digital inclusion by allowing libraries to share the streaming content they are subscribing or purchasing. By participating in this new initiative Films On Demand and Swank are demonstrating that they care about underfunded libraries, equity, access and keeping vital library services like ILL alive as collection formats change. The SILLVR pilot will start Spring 2020 and last one year. During that time streaming videos can be loaned via ILL using the Alliance’s Union Catalog and Resource Sharing system Prospector. Swank films will only be made available to the Academic Libraries within the Alliance.
