View Workshop Agenda

The Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries in collaboration with member libraries is holding an in-person Library Technology Accessibility Workshop on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the University of Denver Libraries, Anderson Academic Commons. This workshop will cover a variety of topics on digital accessibility from creating accessible MS Word and PowerPoint documents, common web accessibility problems, current legislation, and accessibility in library contracts.

Since the workshop includes some hands-on elements, the program will only be held in-person with no virtual option. Participants should bring their own laptop with Microsoft Office products which will be used as examples in the program.  Food will be provided.

This program will be of interest to not just library administrators who are interested in broader accessibility issues but also librarians and staff who need to understand many of the practical issues in their work. Colorado has new accessibility requirements (HB 21-1110) for all state agencies (including public universities) which work in concert with Federal Title II accessibility rules.

Where: Anderson Academic Commons, Room 290, University of Denver, 2150 E Evans Ave Denver, CO 80208. In-person only.

When: Tuesday, February 18, 2025.  8:30am-4:00pm

Cost: Free but advance registration is required
