The Colorado Alliance will host a presentation on PlumX, on Thursday, October 9, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. PlumX, now part of Ebsco Information Services, “provides evidence of how research output in all its forms is being utilized, interacted with, and talked about around the world. Harvesting metrics from a multitude of online sources, PlumX offers an exciting new way to see the influence of researchers, groups, and institutions.” (from their website). Victor Castellanos, the regional sales manager for PlumX and presenter of this program, says that PlumX will enable the harvesting of research metrics “around usage, captures, mentions, and social media, in addition to citations, giving a much more comprehensive and holistic view of impact.” You can read more about PlumX at their website,www.plumanalytics.com.
