Working closely with EBSCO and Serials Solutions, we have made Prospector available through both Summon and EDS. The Prospector database is available on an FTP site for any system to harvest. It's platform neutral- a basic MARC file exported and updated on a regular basis.
With this new integration, search results from Prospector will appear in the discovery interface along with results from other databases. When a user clicks on a Prospector item, they will go back to the Prospector catalog where they are authenticated to place a request. Check out the Prospector Summon and EDS sites to get an idea of how this works.
