This year for Open Access Week, we're highlighting how some of our Alliance Digital Repository member institutions are using our Islandora/Fedora repository platform to support open access to research.
Our members use their digital repository sites to provide access to traditional results of research such as journal articles, reports, theses, and dissertations, as well as to digital audio and video files created during original research.
The Colorado Alliance will sponsor a webinar on the Springer product, Papers. The webinar will be on Tuesday, October 15, at 9 a.m. Christine Buske from Springer will be presenting. Papers is a reference manager which allows users to organize, manage, share, and cite research results. You can read about Papers at http://www.biomedcentral.com/presscenter/pressreleases/20130919 and at http://papersapp.com/.

The ADR Services committee and invited guests will be holding a "Metadata Day" on September 10, 2013!
The purpose of this day is to review our current descriptive metadata standards for the repository, discuss the development of an aggregated search site for all ADR member repositories, and identify ways to incorporate more structured or linked data in the ADR metadata.
